GRASSROOT REFEREE ASSIGNOR COURSES
The referee assignor course offers instruction and guidance for preparation for an individual to become a registered and certified U.S. Soccer referee assignor. US Soccer mandates that all referee assignors be certified and registered before assigning an U.S. Soccer affiliated games. The referee assignor course, for both new 1st time assignors and re-certifying assignors are in two (2) parts.
The first (1st) part is called the Pre-Clinic, which is all of the online lesson modules. The Pre-Clinic must be completed in its entirety before the OMS system will allow signing up for the second (2nd) part. Once the pre-clinic is completed, return to the OMS Member Homepage and the below screen shot will be seen where the “Online Lessons” button is replaced by a “Pick a Clinic” button.The second (2nd) part is the in-person or live Zoom meeting with the State Director of Assignors, James Vars. For 2022 certification, there are only six (6) Zoom meetings scheduled in August, September, and October. These dates are listed in the OMS system. A screenshot is below:
