Christina Unkel is officially announced as the New State Referee Administrator (SRA) for the Florida State Referee Committee (FLSRC).
Christina Unkel brings to the FLSRC a history of achievements – FIFA Referee / Professional Referee / MLS Video Assistant Referee – Over 23 years as a US Soccer Referee & Florida registered referee; Seven (7) years representing USSF at the highest levels including FIFA Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying, Olympic Qualifying, championship tournaments, refereed over thirty (30) international friendlies and tournaments, FIFA & CONCACAF Championship Referee in Veracruz, Mexico & Nanjing, China; CONCACAF Elite Referee Designation & attended multiple CONCACAF Elite Seminars; Over 10 years refereeing Professional/1st Division women & men soccer in the U.S. (WPS; NWSL; MLS; MLS Combine) with multiple playoff matches and semi-final appointments; PRO Referee; MLS VAR since introduction in 2017 (1 of 2 women VARs first trained in the world).“We are looking forward to working with Christina to better develop and advance Florida referees.
