US Soccer Referee Department has published the requirements for certification/re-certifications of National Referees and National Assistant Referees for 2021. The 2020 upgrade qualifying year closed June 30,2019.
All Regional Referees who meet the minimum requirements from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 will be considered by U.S. Soccer for selection. U.S. Soccer will review official’s performances via the Referee Portfolio in ussoccer.gameofficials.net to make selections. There is no application process.
