Longtime Administrator Calls it Quits

After many years of dedicated, faithful, administrative service to Florida Soccer Referees, Pedro Vilallonga has said it is time to move on.

Pedro was an Area “A” District Referee Administrator in south and central Dade County for many years and for the last two years served as Area “A” Assistant Area Referee Administrator working with Caleb Mendez who is currently the Area “A” Referee Administrator.

Pedro wrote, “One of the activities that I have enjoyed over the years is to be part of the Administration for Florida State Referees.  Over the years, it has been very rewarding to help recruit, teach young teenagers how to be a Referee.  Sincerely, it has been a privilege!”

Pedro is still an active referee assessor, instructor, and assignor re-certified for 2019, but he will be missed as an administrator.

I remember my first professional game working with Pedro. Tropical Park for a Miami FC Blues match 2008. Pedro has always been so passionate about referee development. The social impact we all have on the game is extremely important for personal and professional development and for that reason Pedro will be missed as an administrator.

Pedro has been a great administrator and supporter of referees and the game. Yes, he was passionate, and yet quite capable of receiving concise feedback.

Truly a great guy and longtime friend of my father who have worked together for years. A man who is professional about his work and for the time he took out with me to talk me through some both game related and personal. That meant a lot and won’t forget that Pedro. I wish you the best on your well deserved break from the administrator position. Thanks again and congrats on all your accomplishments and work us the FSR Community.
